Full-Time Maintenance Technician
Description:
As a Maintenance Technician you will be an integral part of the Stone & Browning team and its processes. Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for helping upholding quality rental units, while providing the resident base with a professional and trustworthy service. As a maintenance technician you will work closely with our project managers, and maintenance coordinator to ensure day to day, preventative maintenance items, and apartment turnovers are being addressed in a timely manner. Maintenance technicians will be responsible for accurate record keeping as it pertains to time and expense reporting to ensure projects are being completed on time, and on budget. Pay is based on experience. Every day is completely different at Stone & Browning Property Management, and our team is second to none. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of building maintenance experience.
- Post secondary education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Candidates must be upbeat, friendly, tech savvy, and team players.
- Must have a valid drivers license, and be willing to be on call 24/7 during certain weeks of the month.
- Must be able to interact with co-workers, supervisors, residents and the general public in a professional and pleasant manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to assess situations and make appropriate judgments
- Ability to plan, determine work priorities and schedule
- Ability to use online software programs for time and expense reporting
- Working knowledge of building mechanical systems to help diagnose certain issues
- Time management skills
- General Carpentry
- Ability to be an active problem solver
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
- Sheetrocking/taping
- Painting
- Carpentry Work
- Installation of Windows/Doors
- Installation of Flooring (Both click and glue down products)
- Unit remodels which can include bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, etc.
Wages and benefits: (after 3 months of employment)

In-House Cleaning Technician
Stone & Browning is seeking a professional individual who takes pride in their work, to come on board as an in-house cleaner, and assist in providing the people of Vermont with safe and clean housing. You will work closely with our maintenance, leasing, and property staff to ensure apartments are cleaned thoroughly before new residents move in, common areas are keep in an orderly fashion, and other cleaning projects are completed on time and on budget. This is a flexible position with many amazing benefits! All new team members are subject to a three month (3-Month) trial period at which time the full benefits package will become available.
Job duties will include:
- Sweeping
- Mopping
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Cleaning windows and doors
- Maintaining supply inventory at designated locations
- Emptying trash and recycling receptacles
- Clean and polish fixtures
- Alerting maintenance team of additional items which must be addressed
- Interacting with Residents and other team members

Full Time Leasing Assistant
Stone and Browning Property Management is seeking an organized and outgoing leasing assistant to join our team. You will work directly with our leasing team to ensure that our clients, residents and office team feels supported. The ability to multitask, while maintaining complex schedules is essential in this position. The ideal candidate would be flexible in the workplace, comfortable jumping from task to task and be extremely confident receiving/ returning phone calls.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
-Field all inbound phone calls
- Inbound/outbound communication which includes inquiries related to:
- Apartment listings- asking questions and taking down information relevant to the needs of the potential resident
- Property management services
- General information and questions
- Maintenance work orders and questions
-Schedule appointments for other team members including but not limited to:
- Apartment showings
- Move in/move out inspections
-General office administrative tasks such as:
- Ordering supplies
- Restocking toilet paper/paper towels
- Manning the front desk for walk ins
- Lockbox inventory
- Maintaining contact list, update information as needed
- Supporting the staff with their daily tasks
-Leasing Apartments
- Assisting leasing department with showings, marketing apartments, 3D walkthroughs among other things
Requirements & Qualifications:
-Exceptional communication skills are a must
-MUST be comfortable on the phone!
-Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
-Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and complete projects in a timely manner
- Proficient with Microsoft and Google
-Ability to adapt to new technology
Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am- 5:00pm at our Berlin Office
